About Komputers 4 Kids!
Komputers 4 Kids, (or K4K as it is often known) is a charitable organisation designed to enable access to, or even ownership of computers to those families with people in education who cannot, through no fault of their own, afford to purchase such equipment.
We were founded in the year 2000, and have been running as a one-man operation since then, supplying computers Locally.
All our computers are given to recipients free of charge. We do not even ask a delivery charge. (However voluntary contributions, although never asked for, are always welcomed)
Recently the managing Director and the board of UK IT Recycling Ltd. asked if they could come aboard, and in fact make K4K their primary charity. After much discussion of the benefits to K4K, this has been accepted, as with their transport infrastructure, support and technical expertise, we can now expand our donations over a far wider area. This means, far more families can be given a computer!
In the very near future, Komputers 4 Kids will also become a fully registered charity, which was impossible in the past due to the charities commission requiring a financial as well as stock turnover. This is now possible because of the help of UK IT Recycling Ltd.
